History
The first Secret Society Sale was in 2005 and was hosted solely by Christy Corbett. In 2006 Jen Neitzel joined forces with Christy to host the SSSale for a couple of years. This year the sale will be hosted by Jen Neitzel, Michelle Gay and Julz Nally. Christy has moved on and although she will always be a fan, she feels that the high-end glass work she is creating today is not a good fit for a holiday sale.
The Secret Society Sale always falls on the Sunday after Thanksgiving and is held at the Secret Society Ballroom in Portland Oregon. Each year that the SSSale has had an emphasis on procuring really talented artists and craftspeople. This sale falls during the holiday season for a few reasons: to create a really unique handmade shopping experience just in time for holiday shopping, as well as being an opportunity to give back. We have chosen to consistently support the Oregon Food bank, because no one should be hungry. This year we will continue to support the Oregon Food Bank so that the holiday season is a little easier on those hit the hardest.
